Sangamon Registry Name-Match Errors
A shared name is not a match. Compare the listed date of birth, aliases, height, weight, sex, race, address, photo dates, registering agency, and conviction county where those facts are public. Search an alias and common spelling variants when the first query is empty.
Likewise, a missing result is not a clearance certificate. A person may fall outside the selected filters, live in another jurisdiction, be shown under an alias, or require confirmation by the registering agency. Registration Levels and Duties in Illinois

The registration statute provides a $100 initial fee and a $100 annual fee, with waiver for indigency. Category, length, and frequency come from law and the qualifying conviction or adjudication. A public listing is not a newly made individual prediction that the person will offend.
Correcting Sangamon Registry Information

Using Sangamon Registry Information Lawfully
The Sex Offender Community Notification Law makes specified information public for awareness and safety planning. It does not authorize threats, harassment, intimidation, vigilantism, or unlawful discrimination. Registration is based on a qualifying conviction or adjudication and statutory rules. It is not a new finding of present dangerousness.
